Hi there! My name's Marlo and I am the creator of Barx 'N Bytes (formerly known as Life is Ruff Studios!). I am a small furry artist and fursuit maker based in the Midwest. This website is comprised of my fursuit examples, prices, and terms of service. Fursuit examples + Prices

Below you can find examples of my fursuits as well as my prices!Please note that these prices are only base prices to give you a rough estimate on the cost. These do not include costs for materials, extra add-ons, or extra costs for design complexity.If you would like an accurate cost for what a custom fursuit of your character would be please get a quote from me :)

Fursuit Heads

terms of service

(By commissioning me you agree to these terms)----------------------------------------------------------------------------------General Terms:-You must be at least 15+ to commission a fursuit from me-I have the right to refuse any commission for any reason-If you are rude or disrespectful at any point I will not do your commission-If you do not speak english or spanish (the two languages I speak) I will not take your commission, this is not to be rude, but to prevent any miscommunication throughout the process and that you are happy with the final product.-You must have some sort of reference to be able to commission me.-Be prepared to give me measurements for specific fursuit parts (ex: heads and arm sleeves need measurements, make sure if you want your fursuit head to include room for glasses to specify that and also give me your glasses measurements)-You acknowledge that by commissioning me for a fursuit that I may not have exact color matches for fur and other fabric colors-I do NOT work with deadlines. I have both school, a part time job, and art commissions outside of fursuit making therefore I am very busy. If there is a specific event you are hoping to get it for you can always ask if it will be on time for that event and I will try my best to get it to you before then, but I will not rush my work----------------------------------------------------------------------------------Quotes:
-You must have a quote from me to be able to commission me-I will post on my instagram when I am open for quotes, I generally am at any time, although please check first-Just because my quotes are open doesn’t mean my commissions are open-Please do not ask for a quote unless you are genuinely interested in my work, as I take time out of my day to do quotes-With that being said, my quotes are free and non commitment quotes. Meaning that if you ask for one and end up deciding not to commission me that is alright! You are not required to commission me just because you get a quote-My quotes are good until I change my prices----------------------------------------------------------------------------------Payment:-I take PayPal USD
-The commission cost that I give you does not include shipping, it is a separate cost that you must be prepared to cover-I will not ship out your fursuit until both the fursuit and the shipping’s cost is paid-I do take payment plans, look below for more information----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Payment Plans:-40% of your fursuit must be paid off before I start on your suit-I do not do payment plans for anything below $125-If you are not able to make your first payment within 3 weeks of your accepted slot you will lose your spot in my queue-I will figure out your plan with you based on your commission and your financial situation-I will not take a payment plan that is longer than 9 months-You are required to pay all payments before I ship out your suit

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------Refunds:-I don’t do refunds after the fursuit head base is finished-If you decide to get a refund when the fursuit base is finished I get to keep the base and I can use it to be sold or used for a future suit-For paws, arm sleeves, and tails I will not do a refund once the fur is cut out-If you do decide to get a refund before those predetermined times 35% of the payment will be non-refundable to cover material costs and the time I have spent working on your suit-I will send WIPs throughout the whole process-If there is something you do not like please tell me and I will see if I can make a fix-By commissioning me for a fursuit you acknowledge that I may not be able to get exact fur color matches for your character. I always try my best to find the closest color to your ref sheet, but you will not be getting a refund if you complain that the colors "do not match." I will send you fur swatches if asked, or you can provide me with the fur you want used.-I am not responsible if your items get lost or damaged in the mail! I can not control_ what USPS does with your package, but I will do the best of my ability to get your item to you safely. Optionally, you can pay an exta charge for insurance on the package, so that in the case that it does get lost you will be compensated by USPS.-You agree that you will not do any charge backs or try to scam me in any way, if you do you will be black listed from my commissions and a case will be made against you on PayPal----------------------------------------------------------------------------------General Attitude:-I have the right to refuse any commission-If you are rude or disrespectful at any point I will not do your commission-You must have some sort of reference to be able to commission me-Please credit me as your fursuit maker and do not claim my work as your own!-I am allowed to use the fursuit I have made for you as examples for future clients-I am not responsible for any damages that occur to you or the suit if you are handling it roughly, or if you clean it incorrectly-I am not responsible if you are injured while fursuiting, as the fursuiter you must make sure to fursuit safely and have frequent breaks. It is recommended that you have a handler with you to help out.

  • Fullsuits

  • Fursuit feet paws

  • Very complex characters as I am still relatively new to fursuit making!

Extra Notes:

-For further examples feel free to check out my YouTube channel in the "Contact" section to see fursuit showcases-I live in a smoke free home-I do not have any specific instructions for washing your suits other than they are hand wash only!
